The birth of children improves brain!

Scientific research conducted in the United States have shown that, despite the convictions of child-bearing of women stimulates the brain and prevents the development of many diseases of the brain after 60 years. Craig Kinsley, the author of the study, said that during pregnancy, mental functions deteriorate temporarily, but it is only associated with the restructuring of the brain, which is also preparing for motherhood.
According to some data pregnant women’s memory and ability to analyze data become worth. Craig Kinsley and his colleagues believe that this is only a temporary phenomenon, which in the long term greatly improves the capabilities of the brain.
In experiments on rats and primates, scientists have demonstrated that females with cubs, are bolder and faster than females without cubs. In addition, females with cubs have better orientation in space, and their brains have more developed areas related to the care of offspring.
Although the study was conducted on animals, the authors believe that the results may well be extrapolated to people, because the mechanisms responsible for the reproduction are similar for all mammals.
Perhaps the women notice their tiny mistakes and lapses of memory, linking them with the pregnancy, which takes all of their thoughts.
From animal experiments we can conclude that the mental abilities of women during pregnancy are rather improved than deteriorated.
